Thai cuisine places a real emphasis on lightly prepared dishes with strong aromatic components known for its balance of taste senses: sour, sweet, salty and bitter.
This stimulating course will develop your culinary flair and provide you with a range of Thai recipes. The course allows participants to develop their culinary skills by experimenting with exceptional ingredients and quick methods to prepare and cook mouth-watering Thai dishes.

Course programme
This course will allow you to explore various ingredients, develop basic skills in Thai cuisine and encourage you to develop your own creative culinary ideas, whilst using blended spices and quality ingredients.
The course will provide you with new skills in culinary techniques and present you with a range of recipes for Thai Main courses and Starters. Once attending the course, in collaboration with the chef, there is the opportunity for you to contribute dish ideas to be made throughout the course.
Some of these dishes may include:
- Chicken satay, peanut sauce, jasmine rice
- Tom yum chicken soup
- Thai red duck curry
- Cardamom, coconut and mango créme brulee
The selection of ingredients used to produce these dishes will vary, from those used daily. to specialist products, including a wide range of spices, meat, fish, vegetables, sauces, fruit, nuts and pulses.
Participants will explore the tools and skills required for the selection of ingredients, the methods required in the preparation of food, the cooking and finishing of ingredients to form a range of Thai dishes.
Course participants will be able to develop their awareness of Health and Safety relating to the preparation of food, food safety awareness, practical knife skills and stove control, whilst learning logical and coherent methods for producing interesting Thai cuisine.
