ICI has a presence in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada. The overall student body comes from over 150 countries. We serve countries with similar economies and career development needs.

The International Career Institute (ICI) was found in 2009. Within the distance learning space, it is a pioneer and one of the first distance learning schools still in operation.

ICI was founded due to the needs of busy professionals who needed affordable and flexible training from across a wide variety of career pathways. Courses were developed in consultation with industry.

What kind of courses do you offer? What is your ideal student profile?

ICI offers 70 courses in business, management, design, health and fitness, law, justice events, media, PR, education, languages, finance, beauty veterinary and animal care.

We have multiple ideal student profiles. They vary from stay at home mums to busy professionals who do not have time to take classes. We also have serving members of the military, those living in rural areas and those wishing to become self-employed. Our youngest student is 16 and our oldest is 98 years of age.

What teaching methodologies do you use? Why did you choose them?

We live in a digital age and ICI recognizes the importance of our students to be able to take courses at the own pace. Examples of methods the International Career Institute uses is inquiry-based learning , project-based learning and problem-based learning.

Are your courses more theoretical or practical?

Our courses are geared towards practical application. This is a core component our programs. As a vocational education provider we are preparing men and women for practical application of various skills.

What type of qualification do your students receive once they complete their training?

Students graduated with either an ICI Certificate, Diploma or Advanced Diploma upon successful requirement of the graduation requirements. They recognize the level of competence and difficult of a particular course.

What kind of jobs can your students choose at the end of the course?

Our graduates are able to seek employment or operate a business in any of the areas they graduate for. We 70 courses being delivered we have one of the broadest offerings and as a result create multiple job pathways right across thee 70 course study areas.
