As a matter of fact, music can stimulate our brain, giving a better performance and increasing concentration.

As it happens in all aspects of our life, finding the perfect equilibrium isn’t always an easy task. Because of that, it would be appropriate to balance pros and cons before you decide.

For instance, if we are listening to a song without headphones on, it could be better to ensure that everybody will actually enjoy our music selection and that this won’t interfere with everyday working activities.

At the same time, it could be affirmed that prolonged isolation while listening to music could compromise our relationship with other team members. Also, is not always easy to combine a better concentration with individual interests.

On these grounds, it would be better to prefer instrumental, classical, electronic or environmental music to songs with vocals. The reason is easy: if we are writing, the risk of confusion it’s high and it could lead to some mistake, mixing up ideas and concepts.
