  • I have truly enjoyed my time at Coventry University, I am so happy I chose to attend here! The university is great and modern. The library is perfect for when you trying to cram in all that last minute work, as it's open 24 hours a day. All teachers supported my study throughout and my tutor support was always available and very professional. The whole university has a big family feel and I loved it. Would highly recommend it.

  • This course has gone past my expectations because we studied thoroughly some topics which I am interested in. They also encouraged me to do more reading about poverty and the colonisation in Africa. Field trips were an amazing way of making new friends and developing skills which cannot be developed in a class. We have also developed critical thinking skills, which makes us distinctive and highly demand in the employment world.

  • It is really interesting. Also, in labs we get to do fingerprinting and blood analysis. The lecturers always try to make content as recent and enjoyable as possible, whilst giving us the necessary skills for future employment. Each weeks lectures are put on the university moodle page, so you are able to have a quick look before the lectures to give background. Lecturers are open to any questions or challenges you have during lectures. Also lecturers are most qualified or able in specific fields so you get the best people for the term.

  • So far experience has been mixed. the most important thing to me is the course and this has been good to a point. Most of the modules are engaging and teach a variety of skills and the majority of the tutors are helpful and have great amounts of knowledge of the industry. however there hes been some disappointments. The course currently does not offer training in software, which is a critical skill in order to get a job in practice. The tutors are aware of this but the current expectation is to teach this to ourselves. The university also has failed to fulfill is promise in the 'no hidden extras' promise advertised when I joined the university as this year we are expected to make a significant contribution towards our compulsory trip which last year was virtually free. There was also a reduction in the quality and volume of equipment provided this year in comparison to previous years. So far there has been no explanation provided for this change and has left me and fellow students disappointed that we have been mislead. We are also unhappy about how the university does not include students in major decisions . The biggest being the courses move from the engineering faculty to the arts and humanities without warning just before the course started. The first we heard of it was the day we arrived! This was a move that resulted in our course becoming neglected and isolated from key facilities such as computer suits. We are also isolated geographically as our studio/ lecture space is still in an engineering building.

  • The university were good, staff are nice, the facilities were great. University faculties are pretty good, especially is the sport membership, I did tennis and the times they have managed were great. Clubs and societies were people who interest, perhaps there hobbies, there are different types of societies like sport societies, drama etc

  • Business school offers CPD (Continuing Professional Development) modules with workshops about CV writing, interviews preparation, communication and presentation skills and many more. Moreover, there are employment fairs on campus few times per year. CU also has nice and friendly career staff that helps with CV writing and job seeking. What is more, there is Centre for Global Engagement which helps with placements and becoming global graduates. Teachers are really kind and supportive, they respond to emails very promptly and are always willing to explain things more than once. Schedule is good as one day of the week is always free. CU has a really nice library that it's open 24/7. Also Engineering Building and William Morris Building have nice rooms and the stuff working there is friendly. The Hub is a great place as well. All buildings are really close, which makes it easy to get around.

  • Incredible, met friends that will last my life time and got to take part in a high level of sport plus started my career as a product designer. Where I will end up in the future really has no limit, the university has helped me every step of my 4 years of study. My course had modules in all types of design which was peef ct for me. Also the university held a competition to win a 9 month product design placement which I won and now have 9 months work experience on my CV before I even graduated. Also the university have a Addvantage programme where you can pick and extra module to study for a term that's outside of your subject, I chose photography one year and have used the skills I picked up in all variations of work now.

  • I find Coventry a great University but some courses dont receive the same attention as others. Overall is a great university offering a lot of great services thinking about the students. The city life is the worse part, but if you want to be active you just have to explore what the city has to offer. The tutors are really nice and helpful making the lectures interesting and appealing. The university is investing in new buildings and offering new and better facilities for all courses. A lot of new buildings and technologies all over Coventry, as well as trips for all course with financial help.

  • I am enjoying it so far and I would class my experience as good. The course I'm doing is a very good course I think. I am completely satisfied at the moment. Lecturers are experienced in the industry and teach it well. The university has links to a number of companies in the industry so good links for placement opportunities.

  • My experience at Coventry has been great. I think this is a very interesting university, fully modernised teaching methods and approach, 24x7 full equipped library, access to all major computing softwares. The tutors encourage us to contact them, regular meeting for groups and individuals are set up to check on our progress and to allow us to provide feedback on any changes to the course we may prefer. However any support required with technical faults, such as with moodle or emails, can take longer to resolve as the tech team are slow at replying to your issues and concerns. It's more likely to be sorted if you approach specific personel with your problem as emails are often pushed to one side.

  • Coventry University is excellent with great facilities, staff and work. The city itself is small with the outskirts being quite rough but the university is in the nicest area with clean safe streets. many of the modules are directly involved in improving your technical skills and giving you a wide range of ability's. The University provides job fairs with major companies so that you can interact with potential employers. There is a large amount of support for internship placements and also post graduate jobs for the students. Lecturers are all very high-skilled, they cover a broad range of topics in first year before becoming more specific to your area of interest by third year. Many of of my lectures were on theory but there are modules that have lots of practical work interspersed within the lectures.
