  • My experience so far has been really good. I studied my foundation year in Loughborough and I must say, Coventry is so much more inviting. You really feel supported, and it's much more close knit. Coventry is very good at increasing employability. There are a lot of placement and job fairs, and the careers department are very useful. I recently had a meeting to talk about my placement interview and it was very useful. They also do not expect you to pay for your placement year, which is very handy as some universities will still expect your tuition fees. The lecturers are all very approachable and try to make the lectures as interesting as possible. They are always available to speak to you about anything you might need, and are willing to take time out of their own day to help. The facilities are excellent. I am in the new engineering building and it's amazing. They have everything you could possibly need, and it's very modern and clean. The support is amazing. We have something called a Theta room, where lecturers are obliged to go and sit for at least 3 hours a week to help anyone that goes along. We also have a maths support center where you can go along and ask anything to do with maths. On top of that, the lecturers are usually very quick to answer emails, and are happy to help.

  • Enjoyable, but many issues that makes the experience definitely not best value for money. Lectures don't meet my expectations. I don't feel like all the lectures provide good enough support or teach to a good enough standard. Class sizes are too large with too many students not interested in learning and disrupting the learning of others. I do enjoy the challenges and independence uni life brings.Good wide range of activities. Not always the best to correspond with. They don't always take the time to read emails and answer issues. Some academics are brilliant but they are few and far between. Many will not respond to queries and are mostly unhelpful. They don't treat you in a manner which makes you feel like you're two adults conversing.

  • Overall it's been quite good. The uni is expanding and getting better, with the quality of teaching being quite high. Quality of lectures is good and there's plenty of support outside them as well. Facilities are fairly modern. Good support outside lectures and tutorials, along with a personal tutor for other needs. Good resources available in the library as well. The university facilities are excellent.

  • Overall, it's been good. The work can get the best of you if you don't keep track of it but without the pressure of a lot of exams, it's easily managed. There aren't many issues with it. Placements are encouraged and skills are focused on.

  • I would say that my experience has been positive and I have learned a lot. However, I also feel that the courses and their content could be structured better as I do not feel I have learned as much as I could have. I am however grateful for studying in such a modern university equipped with facilities that contribute to a comfortable learning environment. They provide advice on preparing a CV right through to providing mock interviews to provide feedback and improve prospects. They provide career fairs and employer talks so that students are aware what out there and can find more information. They provide several workshops to help develop soft skills such as leadership courses and communicating with confident body language etc. The practical tutorial/lab sessions within the networking lab and ethical hacking lab.

  • An invaluable experience at Coventry University. The thing that I liked the most is that the University has a centre that is dedicated just to enhance employablility whilst studying at Coventry. It offers opportunities to work or study overseas, learn a foreign language and gain international experience. As an international student myself I managed to get work experience through the centre. Additionally, the faculty provides support to find placements, through organizing events, provide support to improve CV, help with interviews.

  • Overall a very good experience. The networking aspect of it is a xcellent. I have met lots of potential business partners for the future. Plus the exposure the university makes available to the students in terms of business networking events. Employment fairs, career days. Seminars and lectures on how to develop skills, resume and interview training. Guest speakers of multinational companies. Societies that assist in making your hobby benefit your development. They are enthusiastic, and always eager to help. They dedicate the extra time to make sure you understand the topic. The module is very relevant to the real world. Prepares students for functioning in a real company. I would say that they are good. Some lecturers are more accommodating that other, however they are all friendly and helpful.

  • Overall my first year at university has been exceptional. It's easy to make friends who have similar interest, and the city provides a range of activities to help you relax outside of your course. Work is also readily available for those in need of a part time job, including placements with the university itself. Work placements are available all over the world due to their vast network of contacts. Especially in my course, it is often found that the placement company will reserve a position for the student so they have a job immediately after completing their course. A careers department is provided as well as regular updates via email when an organisation has contacted us with an opening. To enhance our skills, each student must complete an Add+vantage module yearly, which focuses on an area of skills you may not encounter in your course. For example, book-keeping, pilots theory, InDesign workshops, language development etc. The workshops and equipment available is always being updated. The are provided with a huge range of design softwares which can be accessed in our PC and Mac suits. A lot of funding goes towards our modern library, allowing a hive of information to be accessed; plus if there's a specific book or magazine you cannot find then the library has available funds in order to purchase these and add to the ever growing collection.

  • Overall the university has been great. There have been a few blips along the way but my faculty has always helped me out. Lecturers are incredibly knowledgeable about the industry and are very helpful. They course is laid out in a great way and all builds into a final project. Finally the university also set up volunteer schemes where I was able to go out of town for free and help out in an elderly home. This worked well as research for my dissertation and gave my CV a bit more edge. The students union was excellent. A great place to go to study and meet friends plus a great selection of films shown there and food to buy.

  • The University is giving us the opportunity to visit plenty of exhibitors, work placements, and useful working skills. Careers department staff is extremely kind and helpful. The Students' Union is awsome. It is great, we have a nice support center located in the library, but the feedback is not complete by some of the tutors. A huge volunteering part and a lot of activities in Coventry.

  • Studying at Coventry has been a great experienceswith knowledge attained unsurpassed due to continual industry demand adaptation. I have made so many new friends. The employability service offered within faculty also offering advice on Curriculum Vitae requirements plus lectures on numerical testing or other criteria for industry demand. Excellent ex industry lecturers and up to date technology to utilise in order to understand course material. The online course material provided via Moodle is very useful. Excellent facilities in a state of the art building only recently constructed to meet student demand and in line with industry demand. Academically support is great and extra sessions is always encouraged to ensure student understanding of course material. As for my experience with the counselling services, they have been of great support and excellent as well for guidance on exam stress or other concerns.

  • The university experience has been great so far, I am in my second year and i am really enjoying my studies. The tutors are great as well as the university facilities. They offer support with my CV and cover letters and also make practice work interviews. university’s facilities are amazing offering everything a student needs to focus on their studies. Tutors are well prepared to answer any questions and always give useful feedback, they also offer extra support sessions for those falling behind. Very good support offered.
