About this course

Candidates should normally have completed Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering and hold or intend to hold a management position in the catering or hospitality sectors.

Dr Andy Bowles

Food Law Advisor

Dr Andy Bowles is currently a Director and Food Law Advisor for ABC Food Law, a firm of solicitors which specialise in food law. Andy was formerly a lecturer at Middlesex University where he specialised in food law at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. Prior to this Andy was Acting Head of Environmental Health at the London Borough of Enfield and gained industry experience as a Quality Assurance Manager for Dairy Crest Dairies. Andy is qualified with a BSc (Hons) Environmental Health, BSc (Hons) Life Sciences, MSc Microbiology, Graduate Diploma in Law and PhD in food law.

  • The role of the manager
  • Food safety legislation and enforcement

Additional information

The course is delivered by Dr Andy Bowles who has over 30 years experience gained in the food industry, enforcement and education.
The course fee includes lunch, refreshments and delegate notes including a course textbook.
The course is taught in small groups (maximum 8 students) to allow adequate interaction with the tutor.
There is ample free onsite parking available.
