Course description

- Sweets and Desserts
- Fish and Seafood
- Vegetarian Food
- Dinner Party Food
Course Structure
Budding chefs will work with an experienced chef lecturer to learn how to plan and prepare a starter, main dish and a dessert from start to finish. You will gain knowledge about recipes, tools and techniques used by chefs in the industry in a fun, safe and enjoyable environment. You will have your own set of recipes and menus to take away with you and impress your family and friends.

Course Progression
The Junior Chef has 3 levels of study each lasting 10 weeks:
- Introduction
- Intermediate
- Advanced
Students are rewarded at the end of each stage with a certificate of recognition along with opportunities to enter competitions and win prizes.
Students who complete any or all of these stages can progress to Further and Higher education courses, NVQ†s or BTEC qualifications.
Course Career Prospects
This qualification could aid success for entry onto Hospitality & Catering full time courses and apprenticeship programmes.
