Course programme
This is the final stage in the diploma where you’ll learn advanced food preparation and cooking skills. This course is ideal for those looking to become a head chef as you will study complex dishes, as well as gain experience working in a busy restaurant.
What will I study?
- Learn how to receive and store resources
- Managing yourself and health and safety
- Learn how to prepare, cook and finish complex dishes using meat, fish, vegetables, sauces and soups
- Learn basic butchery and game preparation
- Due to the nature of the catering industry, some of this course will take place in the evening at The Wharncliffe restaurant
