  1. TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY

Dealing with a career crisis can be overwhelming. However, resist the urge to blame. You are facing this because of the choices you have made. So don’t blame your boss, partner, colleagues or even your parents.  If someone is to blame, then you have no power to change.

Accept this transition with responsibility, if you want to get to a new place you simply need to decide for new choices. Facing this with responsibility will make YOU the solution to this problem.

  1. FACE THE CHANGE WITH COURAGE

Change is never easy, it will require courage. It is not enough to hear yourself and being continuously thinking that you are not happy about this period you are facing. You need to have courage, to admit that you need the change and start acting in order to achieve this!

  1. BE REALISTIC

Being real with your expectations is very empowering. If you want to make a change in your career path you have to be realistic and aligned the pros and contras of doing this. You must get real and face that every career has challenging moments. If you are changing completely and start your own business, you have to know that it might take a little to get where you want to go. The best is to be realistic in your expectations!

  1. TAKE THE LONG VIEW

If you take the long view, then little challenges won’t stop you. This is another way to know for whether you are in a career that is right for you. Do you want to master this field? Are you willing to work for years and years to become great at this? If you choose a career where the answer to these questions is yes, then you are on a good path.

  1. REMAIN CALM, GOOD THINGS WILL COME

Taking action and changing can hold some anxiety. Try at best to stay calm, and at the moment when you feel the anxiety, it is the moment when you have to do an effort and take action. It is normal to face fear during a career crisis but what so ever you must not let fear hold you back. Keep yourself healthy, move and breathe, take care of yourself. Remain calm, good things will come!
