Many thanks to my Assessor who was brilliant and really motivated me. Would recommend SDL & him to anyone who wants to have fun while learning and producing the evidence that enabled me to get my NVQ. My manager is also very pleased and is very grateful for SDL's work. I am progressing to Marketing level 2 to increase my skills or level 3 in Business Administration and am looking forward to it. Have a go as its worth it!

Put five staff members through on this course and found it excellent grounding and also consolidated the basic training we had provided as a company & SDL developed them further. Working with SDL we have been able to develop a new staff structure and also training at the levels required - very grateful as this has developed the business as well as the initial training we requested - excellent value for money. Even persuaded me to undertake a Level 4 at the same time to understand the process as well as develop myself Will definitely work again with this company and they will be our first port of call for more than just qualifications.

Many thanks to my Assessor who was brilliant and really motivated me. Very pleased with whole service and the staff that make up the company! From initial enquiry through to the completiion I have been impressed & also cannot fault the service provided. I went with SDL on a trusted recommendation and it was certainly a good one! I met & discussed at length what I wanted to get out of it and then a plan was drawn up to achieve and regular contacts/visists ensued. Felt completely supported throughout and confident in my choice.
Dealt with real people who have real experience and a wide knowledge & are tireless in their desire to help you. Excellent value across the board (cost being lower than expected & based on current climate!) & being able to work as well as produce unit work was the key 'seller' for me and recommend this to others who have similar lives & schedules, who want to validate their experience and obtain a suitable high level qualification.

Incredibly impressed with their knowledge, application of thought & methodologies - they are streets ahead. Needed the qual to continue to practice and they were expert in planning how i could achieve & subsequently supported whenever needed. I have become a talking point with other colleagues as I have achieved with relative simplicity and also know why I have achieved and can offer then advice regarding assessment and the QCF!!!!! Reliable,value for money, the 'supplier of choice' and you actually learn from them !

With such small numbers to each course, you get a very personal approach from the instructors, making it easier for them to relate to the material in a way that suits you. The theory (and there is a lot of it) is direct and to the point, whilst maintaining a good standard of information which is then backed up with experience. The practicals are hands on, learning skills and procedures in a scenario based environment. All in all, i think it si a great value for money. Just because the price is low, it does not reflect on the quality or standard of the teaching.

I found the course instructors great and easy to get on with, the course was laid out in such a way that it was easy to understand. The instructors at the end of the course gave us SIA application forms and assisted us with completing them.

Realistic in attitude and planning - realise that individuals have work and life to contend with. Very responsive and understanding yet get results and consistently receive excellent feedback about them. Support offered to staff was bespoke and well received and unlike what we had previously experienced in the past from other companies. All fears were unfounded and realised quickly.
Staff have incredible knowledge and are personable and friendly and also install confidence and are pleasing in that they can offer literacy and numeracy included as well as confidence building also and this has been very useful! Secure and confident in their abililty at all times.
Actually do what they say they can do! They provide professional and qualified staff that have real work and life experience and are approachable and amenable an can deal with all ages and abilities. Staff known by name and were constant - communication was faultless at all times, Creative and fresh always. Frank and in-depth and create excellent solutions to training needs. Tailor each visit as required and work outside of traditional business hours to deliver their services and will do evenings and weekends if needed. We employ all ages & experiences and no one was left out! All staff reported being pleased with the services and gave positive evaluations that cited SDL as being very supportive, friendly and approachable at all times. Positive & encouraging feedback. We will continue to work with them.

Realistic in attitude and planning - realise that individuals have work and life to contend with. Very responsive and understanding yet get results and consistently receive excellent feedback about them. Support offered to staff was bespoke and well received and unlike what we had previously experienced in the past from other companies. All fears were unfounded and realised quickly.
Staff have incredible knowledge and are personable and friendly and also install confidence and are pleasing in that they can offer literacy and numeracy included as well as confidence building also and this has been very useful! Secure and confident in their abililty at all times.
Actually do what they say they can do! They provide professional and qualified staff that have real work and life experience and are approachable and amenable an can deal with all ages and abilities. Staff known by name and were constant - communication was faultless at all times, Creative and fresh always. Frank and in-depth and create excellent solutions to training needs. Tailor each visit as required and work outside of traditional business hours to deliver their services and will do evenings and weekends if needed. Professional and deliver - friendly staff and always helpful and communicate /meet appointments consistently. Named Assessor who stayed the course & supported without fail and all other SDL staff were constant too! Fantastic feedback from staff who were learners.
Very pleased with service and outcomes - their knowledege base is practical & informative at all times and will use always from now on. As a mature student, I felt that the Salon North End training academy was the best option for me as it meant that I was still able to work full time and pursue my studies in the evenings. The NVQ level 2 and 3 courses were both practical and theory based, covering all aspects of beauty therapy and I learnt all of the skills that are required to become confident and competent in the industry, meaning that I was able to secure employment after the first year. I would recommend training in the private sector for anyone who wants to receive a better quality of learning at your own pace in a relaxed atmosphere.

As I have been freelancing as a makeup artist for over two years, I felt that my skills were still quite novice or just needed some brushing up.
My lesson with Sumantha was very helpful indeed and I learned a great deal. I was given useful feedback on how I currently apply makeup which I found very useful as I don't receive enough ongoing feedback in my work. She also provided me with other tips/advice on makeup application which I will take with me in future work. A great lesson.
