About this course
Candidates who attend the course to have a good basic understanding of nutrition principles, and understand the impact of food processing and manufacturing on the nutritional content of foods.
Appreciate the importance of accurate nutritional information being available on food products.
Identify differing needs, allergies and food intolerances.
Knowledge of the current legislation.
All employees in catering, retail and manufacturing environments involved in the selection of menus, recipes and ingredients. it is also relevant for those in the health care and education sectors.
English literacy level one.
CIEH Level 2 Award Healthier Food and Special Diets
Kitchen Tonic is a CIEh registered training Centre. This course id delivered by our trainer who is BSc (Hons) graduate in nutrition/biology and dietetics, who worked in the NHS advising patients on food allergies. In 2014 we achieved 100% pass rate delivering this course.
