Course programme

The REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate provides a nationally recognised qualification that is essential for the catering professional within the food industry. More importantly, it will allow companies and organisations to comply with current EU 852/2004 Regulations on the Hygiene of Foodstuffs and the new Food Hygiene (UK) Regulations 2006. The course will cover all areas of food hygiene, including the working environment.


Sectors that would benefit from attendance on this course include; the manufacturing and processing of foodstuffs, Hotels and Guest Houses, Restaurants and Cafes, Clubs, Delivered Catering and Meals on Wheels, Food on the Move, (Trains, Coaches, Boats and Aeroplanes), Takeaway and Fast Food Restaurants and Public Houses.

Course Structure and Delivery

The course will be delivered by an experienced tutor and includes, course notes, handouts, and group exercises.
