What I enjoyed more about the course was how the professor delivered lectures and how smooth he made it for all to have an opinion and practice.

I come from Hong Kong. What I found out about the University of Law is the support that it has for international students- So, for example, when I was getting my student visa there was a lot of support and contact between the staff. I think what I enjoy most about the teaching here at ULaw is that it’s taught by practitioners. They really colour the work that you do with their experiences. If I had to choose one word to describe my experience I would say inspiring.

I chose a career in law because I wanted to help individuals against the weight of the State and I wanted a career that had everything: exiting, challenging, awarding. And working as a criminal defence lawyer has all of the above and more. I chose the University of Law and Business School for three reasons: first was the location, you are right in the centre of London, and that was really important to me, because I used to do a lot of probono activities and so I need to get to places quite quickly after the classes. Also, the probono service. I was really impressed by the fact that they had such a big probono department with so many opportunities and I could get essentially all my work experience within the four walls of the university. And lastly it was the reputation, I was going to be investing a lot of time and money in my postgraduate education and I wanted to go to somewhere that would actually teach me well. And at the end of one of the open days I knew that the University of Law was where I wanted to be. I definitely recommend it! Here you will get all the knowledge and training you need with the best teacher at the best facilities with the best people.

I would like to say some words, of course it was a very pleased moment for me to pass this certificate, to qualify for this certificate and of course, this is not just a certificate for me. During these days, I have erudite a lot from Dr Crawford and of course, thought I have a very long eleven years of experience in HR and OD but I would concede and I would reconcile that many of the concepts and discussions made by DR Crawford with me were new for me and some of them I realized that those aspects are Art of OD and I have a firm amateurism that I will retrieve these motifs and new systems taught by him.

What I’ve enjoyed most about the course was the fact that they’re very practical. They literally give you an arsenal of tools and skills you need to take with you. Also I was surprised one can learn and retain so much even though there are no formal exams. It’s been a while for me since I graduated, maybe over 15 years from now, but I’m really happy with myself because I actually remember quite a lot. The courses I studied helped me immensely since I was looking forward to develop in project management. I was really nervous whether I’d be at the same level than the rest of the classmates. But I ended up with a great boost of confidence and now I look forward to taking more complex projects. Definitely I would recommend the course to others especially if they want to get ahead on their careers.

The best thing at the University of Law was the societies for me, because I’m part of the university football team as well as the debating society. And I had the opportunity to meet some lifelong friends. If I had to choose one word to describe my experience I would say unexpected.
